First off, Danielle and I are getting married! I’ve been excited for so long and the time was right. It was really great to see her face when she got her ring. The wedding is going to be next year on August 11th. So much to do in so little time!
Second, I just got a contract position at Cranky Pants Games in Kirkland! I’ll be starting next Monday. It’s the start of a great path in the life of my career.
And the third but depressing part of my news, my 84 Honda Civic...has a blown head gasket and possibly a cracked engine block. So I’ll be getting that fixed.
All of that craziness alongside Thanksgiving, working remotely on a short film, Pharmacy Tech-ing, and attempting to play Final Fantasy XII in my spare time. And speaking of Final Fantasy XII, it has been an amazing 20 hour journey so far and I’ve just barely scratched the surface of the game! I’m going to write a review this weekend and post it in a couple of places. What I am going to say right now is that if you’re into MMORPGS but not necessarily Final Fantasy, you might try this game on for size, it’s not online but it has a similar feel.
The song of the week is “Tank” by the Seatbelts, some absolutely great jazz and funk! A lot of anime watchers will be into this song because of its ties to Cowboy Bebop. I really enjoyed that series and definitely recommend it to anyone. That and Firefly…both are awesome.
In other news, if you didn’t know, the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 came out this past week. I didn’t get one, but that’s ok because I don’t have time to play at all. I also finished reading “Watership Down”. It was a great book. Some parts were slow, but all in all an intriguing and dynamic story. Now I’m reading “The Oath” by Frank Peretti.
That’s it for now…I’ve gotta get some Final Fantasy XII in before work!
